Data Integration
While IT folks may love having all applications consolidated into one single application (i.e. many applications based off the same database), this is typically just a dream.
To realize a proper CRM vision or to retrieve a single view of a customer, you need more than just data quality or business processes in line. You need proper integration between your operational systems.
Integration can be considered in two different ways when speaking about Oracle Siebel applications. It can mean the classic term, for trading data between two applications. Alternatively, it can mean integrating the actual applications.
From ETL work to full-fledged middleware implementations creating an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), we can get it done, and done right.
Integration is a crucial piece of an MDM solution, handling the synchronization of data between the master data system, and all its subscribing enterprise applications.

Skura’s Approach
- There are many tools out there to use, and we can handle any of them, or we can build your own. Whether it is Web methods, TIBCO, Informatica, or any other tool that is used for integration, we can achieve real-time integration.
- We can create the various adapters for your applications to work with a service-oriented architecture where each application develops services to provide its data to everyone – once. There is no need for point-to-point development work.

- We use tools that store business rules and create processes that are event driven, rather than hard coded, manually intensive procedures.

Key Benefits
- A proper integration will allow for future reuse of work.
- Applications will share knowledge, and allow you to achieve a single view of your data (i.e., customers) thus enabling cross-business imperatives to be realized.
- Data will be accessible in a timely manner, ensuring better and quicker business decisions, better targeted campaigns, and more accurate business forecasts.
- Sometimes the integration of applications can avoid issues surrounding the consolidation of them.

Why Skura?
-
We know CRM. We know Life Sciences. We know how Life Sciences use CRM. Our Life Sciences experience and broad client base ensure a best practice implementation.
- We know the data in Life Sciences, and how it is created, manipulated, and reported on.
- We’ve seen it all, and fixed it all. If you have a new data integration issue, we want to see it. Then we will solve it, fix it and show you how to eliminate it in the future.

Helpful Tips
- If you feel it’s too much to implement, allow us to show you how it can work in a phased approach. To keep up with your business, your data integration must enable quick turnarounds.
- Define your entities. Ask the following questions: What is a customer? What attributes make up a customer? How can customers be related to addresses or other customers? And so on. We can help you define these.
- When implementing interfaces or integration, whether it’s done internally or by contractors, be sure to obtain detailed documentation regarding how it works, what data it involves, what systems are involved, etc. Don’t leave yourself in the dark.
- Before buying a fancy new tool to perform your integration, be sure you don’t already have such a tool.
